My Fist Day as a Teacher
I am EXHAUSTED. I don't even have the energy to type this right now. Today was such an experience, but in all I would say it went well. I do have two boys that keep giving me trouble. They just don't take direction very well. They don't answer back, but they just can't keep to themselves. Over the course of the day, I had to send two kids to the nurse, one who wasn't feeling well and the other who had a staple in his head from a previous injury and kept poking it. I also had to take them to a million bathroom breaks, tied about 6 pairs of shoes and repeated my rules and procedures about a thousand times. The good thing is that when our principal walked in my room in the afternoon, we were sitting in a circle on the floor and the kids were telling stories with puppets ( one who named a monkey after me and made up an interesting story)so they were all attentive and quiet.
Oh yeah, and to top it off, my conference period is first thing in the morning....so you can imagine how long my day is...it's not even funny. Other than the drive from and to home, this is the fist time I sit down so far today.
I know things can only get better from here, and I'm looking forward to the time when my kiddos have my rules and procedures down pact. I won't take anything less and nothing less is expected of me with our new principal.
1 Day down 186 to go :)

Wow, that sounds like hell. Well, I do hope things get better with the kiddos. Talk to you later.
It will take some time to get used to your new schedule and surroundings. You'll be a pro in no time. Hang in there!
