I'm Tired, But Here's a Post.....

I know I haven't posted in a while. There have been a few interesting things worth posting about, but I just never seem to get around to it. Currently, I'm working to find a teaching position for the coming school year. I attended the Judson ISD Job Fair last weekend and the NEISD Job Fair yesterday. I thought the Judson fair went better than yesterday's, I actually got an interview on the spot and I'm hoping to hear back from them. Ideally I want to teach kinder or first grade bilingual. I just found out that there will be another job fair on Saturday for SAISD so I will be attending that one also. The more resumes I put out, the better my chances are.

Right now, I feel strange. I just feel really tired and I have no reason to feel this way. I also feel anxious and almost nervous and I feel my heart racing at times. Today was a lazy day, I did nothing. The only thing I did was make burgers and fries, cleaned the kitchen and fed the dog. Just to do all that, I had to make myself a strong cup of coffee to get the energy. I don't know what is going on with me today, hopefully tomorrow will be better. To add to all this, the Spurs lost, it was a horribly painful game to watch.

Last night was fun, we hadn't planned on doing anything. When I got home from the job fair around noon, we just bummed around the house until 6:30 or so. Julie called me and said that she and Demond were going to stop by and give us our souvenirs from their Vegas trip. They came over and we just sat around chatting about school and life back in Eagle Pass. We could not believe that our 10 year reunion is coming up next year. That is crazy....time just flew by. We had a few smirnoffs then decided to go eat at IHOP because it was the only thing open at midnight other than fast food. We came back to the house and I talked with Julie, mostly about all the strange and eerie things that have happened to me in past and more recent years while Roger and Demond played XBox. It was a fun relaxing evening with good friends.

In other news, I'm still shocked by the Kenny Chesney and Rene Zelweger marriage. WTF? I mean, I just found out that they were dating last Thursday and then they go and get married on Monday. I suppose I'm one who should not talk, since Roger and I got married after only 6 months. I guess it's just that I never pictured them together, I was still getting over the shock that THEY were dating. I wish them the best anyway.....but it's still weird for me.

As of lately I have been spending a lot of time listening to Michael Buble....if anyone doesn't know who he is, he is the guy in the new Starbucks commercial singing "Come Fly With Me" while the blond girl is walking around with her coffee. I knew of him and had seen him on Dateline a year and a half ago but never bought his cd or heard his music other than that. Well after seeing the Starbucks commercial, I could never get the song out of my head, I loved the way he sang it. I ended up downloading every song of his I could get and it's awesome. I uploaded all of them to my mp3 player and listen to it in bed before I fall asleep. His voice is just so warm and rich, it's relaxing. I can't get enough of "Put your head on my shoulder" and "Home". I highly recommend you check him out if you like the music of better days gone by.

In conclusion, the best thing to happen to me this weekend is that I was able to listen to and download Gary Allan's new single, "Best I Ever Had". Someone put a link to it on his messageboard and I was able to get it. I have been wanting to hear it again ever since the concert at Cowboys and have been waiting patiently for it. His cover of it is great, yet it also makes me a little sad to hear him sing it with the recent events in his life. I really like it though. Bev, if you are reading this, I will put it on a cd for you, I still need to send you the ones I made for you, I haven't forgotten :)

Well that is all for now, sorry for the long rambling post, but it had been a long while.

OMG! I'm very intrigued by the guy in the Starfucks commercial also. I was wondering if it was him really singing or just some guy, but I love the music.

And I'm dying for the Gary Allan CDs, but no rush...
